Classes are available for children from the ages of 5 to 12. This year the classes are held on Tuesdays from 5:30 - 7 p.m. by Reesa and are expected to run until late May/early June. The children study the Hebrew language, Jewish culture and tradition, and celebrate the Jewish festivals. The curriculum is provided and supervised by an educational consultant from the Canadian Jewish Congress (CJC). Guest speakers visit the Hebrew school from the CJC, and the Jewish National Fund. Many of our teens participate in a 3-year high school outreach program with Regional Jewish Communities of Ontario. The program involves educational weekends twice a year with other Jewish teens from small communities, readings, and trips to Washington and ultimately Israel. The next cycle of the program begins in Fall 2006.
Contact Daryn Epstein for more information.
In addition, from the ages of 18 – 25 are eligible for a free trip to Israel. More information is available at Israel for Free.
